Let's play 8 ball
In this lesson, students explore the rules and terminology associated with 8 ball pool. They engage in various activities to deepen their understanding of the game. They also practise the use of have to and mustn’t for explaining the rules of a game. Finally, they get an opportunity to play the game online and provide a running commentary.
First day at the office
In this lesson, students will practice reading comprehension, learn vocabulary related to the items that can be found at the office, learn how to use demonstrative adverbs ('here is/are', 'there is/are') and discuss what they experienced on their first day at the office.
Graphs, figures and 5G
This ESL lesson revolves around the topic of describing trends in graphs. In the beginning students are introduced to some fundamental expressions used when discussing changes to sales or revenue. Next, students watch a news report and attempt to use target vocabulary to complete a summary. The lesson culminates with two free practice activities focused on writing graph descriptions.
Talking politics
This ESL lesson plan introduces students to the differences between left-wing and right-wing politics. Students will learn related vocabulary, participate in a warm-up discussion, fill in the gaps with target vocabulary, watch a video on the history of left-wing and right-wing politics and write a political speech from either a left-wing or right-wing perspective. The lesson plan also includes popular collocations related to the topic and a quiz to determine students’ political views.
Where does it come from?
This lesson idea is an opportunity to teach your students about the definition and basic principles of the supply chain. The lesson plan revolves around a video case study. By the end of the lesson students are asked to reflect on a chosen product or service and sketch a supply chain diagram.
